A little about me, Vivi

I’ve been sitting in front of this laptop and I have no clue how to introduce myself, which is quite funny because in person you have to shut me up as I have so much to say.

I am actually very excited about our project although at the same time I do struggle to write my thoughts in English, which is where my hunky punky other half will be a big help.

My Background
I came from a city called Szeged, in the beautiful Hungary.  My main sporting experience comes from 13 years of competitive acrobatic rock and roll dancing, winning 10 national championships.  I know some of you have no clue what that means so click here for a clip of me back in the day.  I completed 4 years of gymnastics and 6 years of sport school in Hungary where I gained qualifications in Sport Management and as a Bodybuilding Coach.

Since I moved to England
I moved to England in 2010 and the long, bumpy road began that helped me get where I am today. The amount of times I got knocked down, the amount of times I fell and got back up showed me that I can achieve anything I want to, even when I wasn’t speaking the language. Before I could work in the fitness industry I had to redo all my qualifications and take some new ones. These qualifications include; fitness coach, personal trainer, climbing wall instructor, lifeguard, Power Plate trainer, antenatal, postnatal trainer, level 1 swimming coach, level 1 pole dance teacher, spiral stabilisation therapist, and probably a few more.  These qualifications helped me improve my overall knowledge and study the English language.

Goal
My big dream was to help people; mentally, physically and emotionally, and thankfully I can say I have achieved this. I thought being a personal trainer is the right field for that purpose but hopefully with blogging I can connect with more of you and do it on a bigger scale! Throughout my journey I have come across some incredible people who contributed to my understanding of health and fitness and I would love to share that with you.
It sounds silly but FORTUNATELY I’ve had plenty of injuries that taught me mentally and physically how to repair and train myself.  It has allowed me to help others in a safe way where I’m not only focusing on what they want but what they NEED.

Fitness journey
If I look at my journey it kind of went around in a circle. I used to train without ego, dance for the fun and love of it, eat healthy because it’s normal, move because I can. However, when I finished school I lost track, lost my healthy body and mind, and I found bodybuilding/fitness shows which is the exact opposite of everything I knew about exercise.
I started a long journey of destroying my health, fighting with body dysmorphia, doing stupid diets, binging, hating my body most of the time and not training for health but for aesthetics.

In the last few years I found a love for calisthenics and functional training.  I found another sport where I can push myself to the limit and challenge the bodies physical capabilities NOT try to show how good my 6 pack is.
Sport has been a big part of my life from the age of 5 and probably after 23 years I got to the point that I had to reset my body.  In the past 8 months I have done no resistance training but focussed on mobility, muscle activation, stretching and rehab techniques.  I have combined the knowledge from seeing body movement specialists, chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists, hypnotherapists, sports masseurs, a positive mental attitude coach, and other health professionals to create a holistic approach to training the human body.

Nutrition
I only ever lost bodyfat when I was using the meat based calorie counting diet but since I am on the road to become completely vegan I have to learn how to do it differently.
I am following some amazing athletes and nutritionists to top up my knowledge in that field and hopefully I can help you too if you are interested or just fancy a change.

Spirit
I am experimenting, learning more about the body and soul, becoming more spiritual, accepting who I am and let things happen organically.
I am more open to anything and everything and I would like to share this journey with all of you who are starting to be more conscious and align with themselves.
Life is so much more then looking good, having a big house, car and lots of money, once you understand that you will feel free and happy.
